Lindbergh High School
West St. Louis County
Gateway Design Studio teamed with a local recognized architecture firm for this project to provide hardscape, landscape and irrigation design documents for a proposed phased redevelopment of an existing high school building and campus encompassing approximately 20 acres of construction located in West St. Louis County, MO.
The site currently has an existing school building and parking areas which portions will be demolished and redeveloped. The design plans addressed the entry plaza drop-off and landscape development of the redeveloped portions of the new building and parking areas for bid, construction and permits. Included was the landscape planting design for proposed detention storm water facilities per local requirements. Special attention was given to creating a low maintenance sustainable landscape that enhances the campus environment and new building additions.

RECOMMENDATIONS
Project goals included developing a sustainable landscape with use of native plant material to the region and low flow irrigation design to the lawn and planting areas. Hardscape plaza areas were developed for pedestrian flow and gathering spaces for students and teachers to enjoy.
